DEBAJYOTI BISWAS

I have been painting since my early childhood – a skill that I inherited from my dad. I was blessed to receive training, guidance and encouragement from a respected artist in the Academy of Fine Arts in India. Painting is not my primary profession. I paint as a hobby, a passion, a medium to express my creative side, and a way to relax. And to add to this, I have many hobbies.

My wife has always been the biggest fan of my art and I must admit that if it wasn’t for her I might not have picked up my brushes and spent as much time as I spend today. I like to play with different media although most of my work is in watercolor. In a world of full time professional and experienced artists, I am still continuing to learn and hone my skills, and I am thoroughly enjoying the journey.
